Did Imra Make the Right Decision with Pestilence on 'Supergirl'?

With the third Worldkiller finally active, and the Legion's mission to come back to Supergirl's time and stop her before she turns into Blight revealed, Supergirl showed a clash in ideology between Imra (Saturn Girl) and Kara. As they attempted to unveil the identity of Pestilence in Supergirl season 3 episode 16, Imra's vision of killing the Worldkiller before she left a permanent mark on the world put her at odds with Kara, who just wants to help save those that are stuck within, i.e. Julia. Two Women wi... more Comments

Could Pestilence Be the Real Villain of 'Supergirl' Season 3?

Supergirl has never been that adept in creating villains. However, season 3's central baddie, Reign, has charged into the show like a charismatic wrecking ball. She's everything a Supergirl antagonist needs. Reign is fierce, terrifying and (due to her "secret identity" of Sam) highly sympathetic.  Sam and Reign, but especially the former, have been such great additions to ... more Comments

Should Lena Cure Sam of Reign on 'Supergirl'?

After discovering what was causing Sam's blackouts, Lena placed Sam in a protected makeshift hospital room at L Corp to further study her and confirm her suspicions about Sam becoming Reign. On Supergirl season 3 episode 15, Lena finally gets evidence of Sam's alter ego (due to Sam's reluctance to believe it), and it seems like Lena's on a mission to save her friend. However, is it possible to save Sam from Reign's influence? Lena Luthor's Medical Supply Store With as brilliant as ... more Comments

Should 'Supergirl' Seek Superman's Assistance with the Worldkillers?

Much of Supergirl has been about establishing Kara Danvers as a hero in her own right, and as a hero the people of National City can count on. Before even introducing Superman as a recognizable character, we saw Kara fight to prove she didn't need her cousin to come save the day for her. It's safe to say Kara's proven to everyone she's just as capable, if not more so, than Superman. So would it be a mistake to bring in Superman to be at Kara's side during the Worldkiller fight? It's the Right Time for S... more Comments

'Supergirl' Needs More of the Friendship Between James and Winn

Though the pair originally started out as frenemies on Supergirl, Winn and James have grown close, especially over the last two seasons. Their friendship seems to be the one part of their lives that is "normal," or whatever anyone with an alien as a friend can call normal. As Winn dealt with the death of his father and arrival of his mother in season 3 episode 14, James clearly helped him through it, and it just shows how far their friendship has come, even though we've seen so little of it. James and Winn's Bromance ... more Comments

'Supergirl' Hasn't Earned Kara and Mon-El's Romantic Reunion

Of all Kara's misfortunes on Supergirl, her love life has been one of the most consistently terrible. Kara, like any good hero, can't seem to make a relationship work. Whether she's sending her boyfriends away due to lead poisoning or suddenly realizing she's just not that into them, Kara's romantic track record sucks. However, the longer that Supergirl season 3 goes on the more it seems like Kara is going to... more Comments

3 Crazy Theories About the Third Worldkiller on 'Supergirl'

Supergirl doesn't really need another villain for season 3. Reign has proved to be more than enough obstacle for Kara and the gang. That hasn't stopped the show from moving forward with the idea that Reign isn't the only Worldkiller.  The last Supergirl episode before the show's break, "Both Sides Now," revealed the second Worldkiller, Purity, but there's still one more to go. Considering how ... more Comments

Did Alex and Kara Make the Right Decision About the Worldkillers on 'Supergirl'?

Before the introduction of Purity (AKA Julia Freeman), the question of the Worldkillers haunted fans, especially those who eventually want to see Sam redeemed and freed of Reign's negative influence. Season 3 episode 13 didn't specifically address how attached Reign is to Sam, but instead focused on Julia and Purity as they battled to get Julia back in control of her own consciousness, which drew a line in between Kara and Alex as they figured out what was going on. In the end, did they make the right decision for how they'll deal with these pe... more Comments

Should Lena Become the Next 'Supergirl' Villain?

The story of Lena Luthor has been a complicated one on Supergirl. The sister of Superman's greatest enemy, Lex, Lena has become Kara's greatest friend. (Although Lena is completely unaware that Kara and Superman's cousin, Supergirl, are one in the same.) Since her introduction,  Supergirl has played with Lena's dark side and teased that she might be become as villainous as her brother and mother, Lillian.... more Comments
